I apology for my "inelegant way" ... that was not my intention, maybe is only my bad english.
My remarks on religion was not based on one belief but extends to ALL believes. Religion was a system with several branches in order to control the masses. With awareness rising, the masses will eventually overcome that addiction of the soul that we call religion and break free. It's my vision and I just want you to consider that for a moment, before you eventually reject it. Anyway what's the most important on the universe? Love. Is there Love in religion? Yes, but hatred and fear also. Is Love outside religion? Yes. So, there must be some other ways to evolve as a human being, and religion is maybe just a passing phase on our evolution. Just consider it.

Wake up friend, Religion is becoming outdated and isn't an issue anymore. Threats to Peace in modern world are no longer related to religion. It's a lie we don't accept anymore. Even you say "hatred", well hatred and fear are both fuelled, created, manipulated and mantained by Greed and the need to Control the masses in order to fulfill the Greed of a few.

thank you so much for popping by with your message on my page - i also feel so full of hope now that Obama will be US president.
I totally agree wtih your comments about the media that you have written here on your page. However, i'm hopeful because i think the media is having less effect nowadays and people are not so easily fooled any longer - and there is the internet. They say that much of Obama's campaign took place over the internet. We need to create a 'new media' together - and with thousands of people joining communities such as iPeace, again I am so very full of hope that this can and is happening!
Please don't believe that the whole world thinks badly of your Prophet, Suha. That is another bit of media propaganda which some foolish people believe, but wiser people know not to judge another's religion and that, throughout history, there have been people who commit violent acts in the name of one religion or another, but also so many more beautiful people of all religions who have been, and are, quietly doing very beautiful, loving things. The media might have you believe that the whole world thinks badly of your Prophet - but the media loves to spread hate and fear - and there are more and more people taking less and less notice of the media - especially with people like you, & the others on iPeace, helping to build understanding and reaching out with love.

Meeting someone, talking to someone over the phone or writing a letter to someone almost always opens with Shalom. Even friends of mine from over the sea have learnt to use this blessing. The spoken word or the written word has enormous impact on people and without it peace cannot be achieved. That's what we do here, in iPeace and most of the exchanged messages include words of peace. I need not tell you how many times the word Shalom appears in our holy Bible and that is rooted deep in our tradition. A sincere peace had been achieved between your country and my country thanks to two courageous leaders who are not with us any more, King Husein and Yitzhak Rabin. Both won the Nobel Prize for Peace. Rabin was murdered 13 years ago as you know by a fanatic insane young man who opposed his way and thought to change a democratic process by murdering its leader. He was wrong. Tomorrow we mark the annual memorial day for Rabin.
But making peace cannot be built on words only and we both know it.

Thanks for your note on my theme. Sure I know the Arabic expression for Peace ~ Salam (shouldn't we spell it salaam?) and it appears on one of my photos. I even use it sometimes when I meet my Arab neighbors.
My dream referred to all the other languages and people who use different expressions for their welcome greetings and the word Peace. Hebrew and Arabic are exceptional in that meaning. See my revised theme.
