Love is always present, in the world, in nature, in us. What changes is our realisation of it.
Sending you a hearty smile from nature, dear Norianna.

Thank you for your friendship. I look forward to sharing and growing to know each other on this wonderful site. I so related with what you said about your courthouse visit. The value of receiving a warm and heartfelt smile is immeasurable sometimes in peoples lives. I worked for many years in a large metropolitan unemployment office as head claimstaker. At that time there was a 7 to 10 percent unemployment rate because jobs were scarce so I had contact with thousands and thousands of people over the course of my career. I soon learned the importance and value of a genuine smile and sincerely listening to the stories and plights of the unemployed and greatly frustrated people I had to interview. I was the front line person. I set the tone. I found that a smile and genuine care could literally make the difference between receiving death threats and being safe. Most people always were respectful to me because they felt that I cared and I always encouraged them, and helped them any way I could. They would come in angry and depressed and I made sure they leave smiling. I think that was my little contribution to keeping peace in my community, and I feel good I touched the lives of the unfortunate and make things a little a little easier to bear. Years later I still meet people on the street and they greet me and tell me that I had made a positive difference in their experience of a most difficult time. What a difference a smile can make. Just a smile gesture, does not cost a thing, and very good for facial muscles too.
