Good morning Anna I'm a little late with answering...
But at the moment I'm thinking about Your statement around the bible and proverbs. Maybe some of them are part of all religions, but I really don't know.
While thinking about, 'How could we get people togehther?' it seems to be one way. The precondition is, that some of the proverbs are part of all religions...
~You said that you are not a Christian but you go to church... Where do you struggle with your idea of Christianity and why do you go to church?
~May you accept what is and attain freedom from all things that would block your own path to peace. We are all one, only the illusion of seperation remains. Peace love and more peace!!! ~Robert
Hi Anna - A warm welcome and thank you for the friend add. I am very pleased to be your friend! Nice to see you here among my friends from all over the world. I wish you all the love, peace and light you can imagine. May the sun always shine brightly in your heart and may our common dream of worldwide peace become true. Blessings, all good wishes and some welcome hugs xo xo coming to you to New Zealand from your Austrian friend Heimo
I see that your hour is very different : try this to have Paris hour : it is a very nice clock and I see also you have strange hours : Auckland and Chatham with only 15 minutes as difference. What is the good one for you ?
Searching for peace is the meaning of your life, or a part of it, don't you think this ? What do you think about Albert Schweitzer words ? How is it possible to speak about peace for all men ... and slaughter animals ... or kill babies ?
"I must interpret the life about me as I interpret the life that is my own. My life is full of meaning to me. The life around me must be full of significance to itself. If I am to expect others to respect my life, then I must respect the other life I see, however strange it may be to mine. And not only other human life, but all kinds of life: life above mine, if there be such life; life below mine, as I know it to exist. Ethics in our Western world has hitherto been largely limited to the relations of man to man. But that is a limited ethics. We need a boundless ethics which will include the animals also. "
Albert Schweitzer is a very interesting person for us, like Albert Einstein because both speak much about peace. The main Albert Schweitzer idea is "reverence for life" : you can see more here for instance :
