You r right saying one of the biggest obstacles for peace is fear!
I'm working with people who have always fear, and it's a hard work to bring them into a more or less liberated condition. The fear from the western people is mostly a banal one, compared to the fear people have in your country or in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc...
