Celebrity stylists offer fashion tips while fund raising

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -Celebrity stylists Meg Chapman and Jordan Lane, formerly from Lanvin, will be giving fashion tips on Saturday, September 19 from 1pm - 4pm at Neiman Marcus. It's a free event where they can help you with challenging trends, but give you tips on what to wear from head to toe. It's a jewelry trunk show featuring Me&Ro. Here are details from Neiman Marcus' press release:

HONOLULU—Neiman Marcus will host a jewelry trunk show with Me&Ro and a fashion presentation featuring celebrity stylists, Jordan Lane and Meg Chapman, to raise awareness for the Joyful Heart Foundation on Saturday, September 19 during the Make Some Joyful Noise as part of its CUSP Event. The stylists will also be providing styling consultations from 1 to 4 p.m. in the CUSP department on Level One. During the event, proceeds from the purchase of merchandise from select designers including Me&Ro, Theory and Helmut Lang as well as limited edition Michael Stars T-shirts will benefit the Joyful Heart Foundation’s programs in Hawaii. Customers will also receive a gift from NM as well as from participating designers with a qualifying purchase and can also register to win for a Vince handbag.

Founded in Kailua-Kona in 2004 by actress and advocate Mariska Hargitay, lead star in the hit NBC series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the Joyful Heart Foundation's mission is to heal, educate and empower survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse and to shed light into the darkness that surrounds these issues.

Robin Renzi, Designer and CEO of Me&Ro, has been an avid supporter of the Joyful Heart Foundation for years and has even created special pieces to benefit the Foundation. Pieces within the Fearlessness Collection, which Hargitay wears on the series in her role as Detective Olivia Benson, help to raise money and awareness for Joyful Heart.

During the trunk show, Me&Ro will donate 10% of the net proceeds from the sale of Me&Ro jewelry to the Joyful Heart Foundation. In addition, 100% of the net proceeds from the sales of the Joyful Heart Foundation Charity and Fearlessness Collection will go directly to the Foundation. There will be a sterling silver shell bracelet as a gift with qualifying Me&Ro jewelry purchases of $500 or more.

Me&Ro is a New York City-based company founded by Robin Renzi in 1991. Created using the finest materials and top craftsmanship, pieces often carry a message or symbol to express the human values of strength, love and faith. It has been featured in countless fashion magazines as well as such current feature films as Eat, Pray, Love.

Jordan Lane and Meg Chapman are long time supporters of the Joyful Heart Foundation and are traveling to Honolulu exclusively for this event. Lane was most recently in charge of Studio Services and VIP relations at Vince, where she oversaw the entire US for studio services. Lane has worked at LANVIN, Chip & Pepper Denim, Planet Blue and as a personal shopper at Tracy Ross on Sunset Blvd.

Meg Chapman is the former West Coast Director of Stores for LANVIN, where she worked for four years and was responsible for opening three of the four West Coast locations. Her focus also included building strong relationships with community organizations to form partnerships and raise money for local charities throughout the West Coast. Chapman has worked at Prada Epicenter in Beverly Hills and at Nicole Miller.

Today, the Joyful Heart Foundation has grown from its birth in Hawaii to be a national organization with hubs of service in Honolulu, New York and Los Angeles. The vision of the Joyful Heart Foundation is a community with no sexual assault, domestic violence or child abuse. Joyful Heart is paving the way for integrating holistic approaches in treating trauma; igniting shifts in the way the public views and responds to sexual assault domestic violence and child abuse; and reforming and advancing policies and legislation to ensure justice for survivors. In Hawai‘i alone, Joyful Heart has directly served over 5000 survivors, professionals and community members and invested over $5 million in local programs and partnerships.
