When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?: I feel the pain in the world

What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights

So what is it?: i think that hunger and poverty as well as lack of education keeps many people in a virtual cage unable to free themselves of the lives they are presently living.

More: People in the oil rich countries want all the money for themselves and will do anything to keep it that way!

More about me: I'm a 57 yr old mother of two grown sons and nine grandchildren, was born in Montreal but moved to Ontario at age 46. I believe that peace is possible but only after prejudice, greed, hatred for anyone who is different, whether it be race, religion or perhaps mental or physical handicaps are erased from the human minds of all men and women.

I don't have that much time here lately, and am sorry. I am busy promoting my art and with my projects....but a little time here, a little there, I am also able to get a good homecook meal on the table twice a day, believing in good nutrition.

Do you write or sing or act or make videos?... not that being a grandmother of nine isn't enough... but sharing makes it easier to know each other. My daughter and four grandchildren moved in with my wife and I last October... We'd been empty nest for 17 years. She's moving away this weekend and marrying her boyfriend. It will be empty around here, but certainly more peaceful. I wrote a few Peace-related things on my site that you are welcome to read and comment on. I have also written much about the breakup and what it's like to live with the grandchildren that I'd share if you are interested.
