Subject: Magi Process - Ten Day Community Meditation

As we all can plainly see, this world is at the edge of peril and promise. We are in the midst of a sea-change that brings Obama to the White House on one hand and Gaza and Zimbabwe on the other; glaciers receding in Switzerland and Arctic bears bewildered by the loss of ice parried by the hope that human ingenuity can once again save the day. It is time, in fact long overdue, that we as a community use the spiritual tools we have to support and hasten change.

In every realm, from the political to the meditational, the process of unification itself brings out discrepancy, difficulty and turmoil. The desire to become whole itself highlights the fault lines that lie hidden in unconsciousness, thus to be acted out in the world. Awakening to the reality of change, however difficult, curtails this tendency and makes room for light.

I am asking you to participate in a ten-day Magi Process meditation to start Tuesday the 27th of January for a period of ten days.

My inspiration for this theme came from watching President Obama hug George Bush, a man whose policy's he deeply disagrees with. Further, Obama has involved John McCain as an advisor in certain areas of policy. Finally, in his inaugural speech, Obama alluded to a fresh p erspective, one that is beyond the usual dichotomies of policy, aiming at a deeper truth.

I began to think of a new level of civil discourse, one that does not demonize anyone, and what my role might be in that. In a discussion with Brenda Blessings, we discussed this and bracketed - a Magi term - more and more of these opposites.

I don't want to give up any of my beliefs yet some of them might keep me from a greater truth of unity that would benefit me more...
What is the new paradigm beyond winning and losing?
Is there a new paradigm beyond winning and losing?
My beliefs might stand in the way of health and unity (healing).
Finally:
I want to be free of beliefs that stand in the way of healing for this nation.
