"Peace Through Music"

Hey, everybody!

The 12th-annual Season For Nonviolence is upon us (www.agnt.org) and I am hopeful that you will choose to join me in getting involved! To that end, I am proposing a wonderful weekly opportunity entitled, "Peace Through Music," which I will be hosting at my home in Rancho Cordova every Friday night. For the next nine (9) weeks, I will be hosting a gathering for musicians, vocalists and music lovers who are interested in coming together to share their original tunes; collaborate on new ideas; and "jam" on much-loved standards from the "peace, love and unity" movement. My ultimate vision for this project is that we will join forces in creating in a culminating concert event on the 10th and final Friday of the season, April 3rd. While I realize that this is late notice, I am confident that--should you be so moved--many of you will show up at my house this Friday and, after our first session, will invite your friends and loved ones to join you in the ensuing weeks. My address is: 2036 Farnsworth Way; Rancho Cordova, CA 95670, and we will gather for a gourmet vegetarian dinner at 7 p.m., followed by music and fellowship from 8-10 p.m. We are asking for a sliding fee donation of up to $15 in order to "keep the ball rolling," but no one will EVER be turned away. So, please reply to this email if you can make it this week; if not, please put this event on your calendar for each Friday night between now and March 29th, and we'll see you here! Remember, we all have the power to help create peace in our lifetime, and music is one of the most powerful vehicles we have to help make that happen!
