Dalai Lama says that Mandela was a follower of Gandhi
But if there is something that Mandela has taught us humility - that he practiced as a prisoner after free (when opponent visited, became friends with jailers and forgave all)

Mahatma Gandhi (from Sanskrit "Mahatma", "The Great Soul") was the creator and founder of the modern Indian state and the largest supporter of Satyagraha (principle of non-aggression, non-violent form of protest) as a means of revolução.1

Meanwhile India was still suffering under British colonial rule. Gandhi suggests that India can gain its independence through non-violent means and by way of self-confidence. He rejects the raw power and their oppression and declares that the soul force or love and unity that keeps people in peace and harmony.
