first I'd like to than rose for the beautiful logo.

the idea for this group sprung to my mind after I receive a message from Mohamad sh.

he wrote:

Dear everyone,

As you all see my list, i have a 120 friends, part of them palestinian, others from israel and also some from other arab countries and others like USA , EU, and more, i would like to ask a sensitive question to my friends from israel, and also other are welcome to answer it: everyone of us here talking peace, and about peace, and sounds for me life on this is is so great and lovely, seems no hatred and racism, no occupation and war, from big part of the comments i read mostly we say: we want peace, and here is my question: WHEN WE SAY PEACE, WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THIS NICE WORD, WHAT KIND OF PEACE WE WANT, WHERE COULD BE OUR LIMITES, BORDERS AND WHAT CAN WE GIVE TO MAKE PEACE REAL, LOTS OF QUESTIONS THAT FOR SURE NEED A DEEP THINKING TO SATISFY OUR NEEDS.
THANKS

So I answered:

That a really good question. I thank you for it, Mohamad. Peace means a great deal of different things to many people. It is a very personal question. I can tell you about the first things that come to my mind when I close my eyes and think of peace. I see no more wars. I see a time when my grandchildren don't have to spend 3 years of their lives in the army. I see equality and respect between peoples and nations. I see my Arab friends come to visit me at home, I see us going to the beach together. I see myself hanging out with my Lebanese friends in Beirut. But most of all, I see myself being able to get in the car with my dad (who is 87 years old) and 2 sons, and drive to Baghdad, Iraq, through Jordan or Syria. In Baghdad he takes us to the house he was born in, and to all the places he told us so many stories about. There, we close a circle.
These dreams might sound trivial to many, but these simple acts have been denied of so many people in the Middle East.

What would I give for REAL peace? Almost everything.

Then I thought, why limit it to Mohamad's friends. It's an important question. Why not open it up for everybody in iPeace?

David

Last summer I attended a lecture by Arun Gandhi (grandson of Mahatma Gandhi) & Mairead Corrigan Maguire (Nobel Peace Prize winner) in the Scottish Parliament, here in the historic & beautiful city of Edinburgh.

Mairead spoke of nurturing & cultivating love & peace within yourself, and then sharing it. Arun quoted his Grandfather who spoke of the seed of peace. If this seed is kept in a box it will wither & die. However, if the seed is exposed to the elements it will grow & flourish!

The message is clear, share your peace & let it grow & flourish.

And, with this in mind, please embrace the philosophy behind this movement and share your passion for peace by reaching out and inviting your friends.

Namaste It is the most worthy of fulfillment of the human being to another. When the other person said, also may mean:

A walk through the Cosmos
the endless universe.
I see a love without limits
the love that springs from each cell
A Love that light, which is the very Light
I see the man tired of walking
I see the man looking for a new path
The path of peace, light
a path that leads to God
We must unite
God is love, he loves everyone
Ipeace has no caste or religion and

....."I can only hope that people will evolve to see that we must all work together no matter where we live, what we worship or what colour of our skin, we are a global tribe".....Chrissie Small

I can appreciate the dilemma that exists in Palestine while struggling to understand it. Israel is like a naughty child trying not to be caught in a lie set up for them, allowing them to believe that lie to justify their existence causing them to keep reacting, becoming aggressive and shut off to the friend that's had the toy stolen from them, so they continue to punish that friend and take more toys because they believe their need is greater. So therefore Israel has become a bully and that is the tragedy, that a people once persecuted should then become the persecutors. There has been no learning. It has to stop because it is immoral and the Peoples of Palestine are suffering terribly. There are now so many countries on this planet that many inhabitants are not of that soil, but the integrity of those countries should not be pressurised to change for the new inhabitants to the point of sacrificing culture. The world is global and needs to become so much more tolerant of differences and celebrate them, but not where human rights have no place in any nation.
The world is changing because the environment demands it to...this has a domino effect on all inhabitants...I can only hope that people will evolve to see that we must all work together no matter where we live, what we worship or what colour of our skin, we are a global tribe and we need to work against these issues causing many of the problems we are now facing such as corruption and greed.
Peace to Palestine and its Peoples...

How right are you, dear Christie, it was like that in Palestine before the creation of the State of Israel but the majority of the inhabitants of today are not the chidren of the soil. They left and immigrate to Europe and other parts of the World. The only they had was their Jewish Faith. There could be Peace between the Israelis of Palestinian origin and the Palestinians who left their land. As long as the Israeli Governement speak with two tongues ther cannot be Peace. The Inhabitants are not stupid but intelligent. I am so certain that if they join hands they could translate this part of the Middle East in a blooming area and with the wealth of the neighbouring States they coul create wonders. Let us pray that if we cannot see it happens our children, grand children, our great grand children....... will see this happen like the crumbling of the Berlin Wall and Communism.

Peace is about compassion for others, integrity for how we treat others and what we do and the repercussions of our actions and words.
Mahmood may your vision of peace come quickly and not before time. Historic wrongs need to be acknowledged with forgiveness and must be put aside to make the world a better place for all our children, ... imagine the brothers and sisters of the middle east joining hands and recognising their shared heritage without fear and embrace the hope of positive change. Sadly it is usually disaster that brings people together, may it be the common goal of embracing Peace that will do this. War has no place in a Peaceful society. Fear breeds negative enegy, Love is the power station for all that is right in the world.
