An ideal for which I am prepared to die

Mandela made this statement from the dock at the opening of his trial on charges of sabotage, Supreme court of South Africa, Pretoria, April 20 1964

"I am the first accused. I hold a bachelor's degree in arts and practised as an attorney in Johannesburg for a number of years in partnership with Oliver Tambo. I am a convicted prisoner serving five years for leaving the country without a permit and for inciting people to go on strike at the end of May 1961.

At the outset, I want to say that..."

I am not by violence but do not question the struggle of Mandela, he was really hungry and dore prejudice, which can he used to arrive at peace, Africa was even worse than today, the first black president of South Africa (May 1994 to June 1999), Mandela led the transition of the minority in charge, the apartheid, winning international respect for his fight for Reconciling internal and external
The africa and is reborn from the ashes of chaos ..

Erika,

The 46664 Concert was held at Green Point Stadium, Cape Town, on November 29th 2003.

I see this concert as a manifestation of his perception of how woman have to change their own victimhood into self respect and full possession of our own bodies. We are really free, we are no longer imprisoned by any prejudice of own mind. We are free of our own fears. Mandela for me is someone that understood that we have to empower ourselves, that the prison is our own mind, if we change the way we see ourselves then we changes our lives.

I've only done jail time for promoting peace. He did prison time for a long period. His dedication to the cause of peace and the sacrifices he made should be honored.

Yes, even though they are getting older, they are still on their feet.

Obama is upright too, hopefully for much longer. michael fell, but he had been through a lot.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
