Of cource,I have nothing against Israeli people and I know that many of them are against what their own country are doing. But when I meet people from Israel on this site,on Facebook or other sites I`m joining, I only meet the wrong Israelies. Just the fanatic persons and I must admit I`ve had enough of them!!!

I agree with you Grete.
And today we had a wonderful courageous young Israelian boy, Haggai Matar of ACIM (Anarchist against the Wall): we have to have in our heart those young Israelian heroes!

I can assure u that I`m doing it;I just hope enough people are doing the same. Israel is doing so much shit now and it seems like more and more people are against them,so I hope they`re digging their own grave with all this mess.
I also watched a tv programme from Gaza tonight. "When you have no more tears in your eyes, you cry with your heart". This words came from a 10 years old girl in Palestine. She now has 1 brother. The rest of her family;both parents, her brothers and sisters, uncles, aunts and cousins were all annihilated by Israel. She had no more tears, but I cried for both of us. Small children shouldn`t go through things like this.Damn Israel. I have never ever hated someone in all my life, but I feel very close to it these days!!!

It`s such a shame,Luisella and I`m so scared for the people there. Today Netanyahu said(in norwegian tv) that they should destroy 88 houses in east Jerusalem(only Palestinian people of cource) and make a park for tourists there!!!He also said that Israel don`t want a Palestinian state and they will not share Jerusalem with them. He`s a DEMON.

yes, is in Italian but I think you can understand with images: all the Humanitaian Help food, don't pass any border to Gaza in total siege.
Our two containers of food in parcel for family (36 tons), blocked from Egypt and Israel. They come from my town, Genova (Italy), from citizens, a lot of young people, and they are for Gaza' children and family. The history began at March 10, 2009 and today is Avril 5.
In Gaza, children and women and all the people are suffering hungry.

Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel commemorate together Memorial Day, Nakba Day, and the Day of Independence
We invite you to a unique gathering organized by a group of Arab and Jewish activists (sponsored by “Beyond Words” Association)
Tuesday 28th - Wednesday 29th, April, 2009
To respect and commemorate the pain and loss on both sides
and to create a shared independence

At the end of 61 years of an imposed destiny, we ask to choose our shared life once again without fear, without accusations, and without denial.
Together we will deal with challenges of inquiry, trust, opening hearts, responsibility and growth.
* * *
On the Israeli Independence Day, Palestinians inside and outside of Israel, commemorate the "Nakba" day, which means the "catastrophe".
For the last 61 years, the Jews have been accustomed to connecting with their pain on Memorial Day and celebrate their joy on Independence Day as exclusive events for the Jewish public. On the other side, the Arabs in Israel have been accustomed to concealing their pain for the heavy loss they experienced with the establishment of the State of Israel.
The holiday of the Israeli Day of Independence, by its very nature, suggests nostalgic celebrations for the winners and disregards the defeated.
On this holiday, feelings of separation, estrangement and alienation are being intensified in both peoples’ living in Israel, regarding one another’s symbols and rituals.
In light of this drastic gap in the feelings of both peoples, citizens of the State of Israel, we, Jews and Arabs, invite you for a genuine and courageous encounter, where we will meet ourselves and the “other” in places of pain, hope and empowerment.
The event will take place at the Guest House of Beit Oren
The 2 days are structured as a comprehensive process, including full board hospitality (sleeping accommodation and meals) on the site.
Starting Tuesday at 2 P.M. Ending Wednesday at 6 P.M.
There will be activities for children
Prices:
Per person in a double room: Nis235
Per person in dormitory:NIS185. Per person in tent (incl. mattress and towel): Nis 100

Dear Marianne,

I'm ready to admit press coverage may not be well-balanced in Europe, that the Israeli side does not always convey their views in ways understandable to outsiders, perception may change substantially when one reads Israeli local press & forums, and of course, that Israelis desire peace... which & at what price, THE issue. Having said this, please note that much as I'm prepared to listen, there are many more angles in the conflict than just Muslim/Jew (e.g. look at Knesset composition) and that lives are at stake, at least as important as ideas. 60 yrs+ discussing history or using it for confrontation have not contributed much to peace-building; the overwhelming majority of people in the area have grown amidst violence, which leads to different appreciations/ perceptions about life and its worth, sometimes shocking to those under more fortunate circumstances. This is extremely difficult to overcome and heal. Such legacy & death toll rule out surrendering for it would render the sacrifice useless, in the unlikely event that Jordan could host more Palestinian refugees than already does. What would you think if it was your house/husband/kids/parents/neighbours/town?

Best wishes &,

Alex

Ya, Grete, the twin symbol is a real possible path of peace and is coming from people, from the citizens always looking for peace. A town, to be a town, need peace and relationship between all citizens coming also from all the world. Hope to be in a lot of peace persons of all Nations to do twin each other and Gaza and other Palestine. We, the peace people.
Smiles

You`re so right,Luisella and I`m so happy that we already are the twintown of Gaza(since 2001). That`s the main reason that people up here are working so hard for Palestine. In a way we are all feeling related to them.
