I made it in the shrinking door closing away before me
A voice deep within said "you can not fix what is for God to handle"
So I looked in the mirror, desolate, the purple veins that two horns had formed.
And the acheing dull, repetitive for days unsubsiding won.

The table was laid, lacen with mothers hope and love
On the right hope from man, a pill, when work won't mend.
The other, mother nature, shrunken her gifts, a vitamin.
So I began the new version of life within.
To settle the unreasonable requests I couldn't stop seething.

Let the ways of today fill the gaps from yesterday
That seldom we're seen as they walked over the drawings
On the pavement and smiles turned to frown
Small hearts broken that grew and grew to take a place
Never known about.

The fairytales and haunted horrors just a story on a screen
Where we no longer fear the judgement of our parents lips
Just something we dare ourselves to remember or miss.
