A FRIEND LIKE YOU .

I was drowning in the blackest sea of lost souls
When you came into my life
My pain cutting me deeply
Like the blade of a knife

You befriended me across the vast waters of the ocean
You filled my heart with hope
When I was questioning my purpose
It was you who helped me to cope

You lift my spirits each day
With your kind and gentle way
Even though we have never “met”
You are so, so close to my heart
Your thoughtfulness I will not forget

My trust in you is so precious
Your friendship I truly treasure
As I think of all I have lost
I remember that I have you
When nothing else can make me happy
You can make me smile

I wonder how it could be
That my friend, so dear, should dwell
Thousands of miles from me
This I should not question
Such a blessing you’ve turned out to be

I thank my “lucky stars”
That you came around just then
For you plucked me out of the darkness
And helped me find the light again
Thank you for being the friend you are
with all love..

Thanks a lot for the inv and for that wonderful poem here.
Its so lovely and it makes me dream about such sweet love :-)
