Light and Dark

Vacillating between Utopia and Hell,
one day your word is enthralling, exciting.
Soon the sparkle in you fades to dark.

Deep in a place with no light,
people around you are confused, sad.
Soon gone, no longer on your tear.
Sitting in your room alone, you weep.

The days are long, evaded by sleep.
Arms cannot move your mind is tossed.
Soon loved ones will appear to be cross,
you don’t know why you’re in this hell,

Soon light comes in, breaks the spell.
Back to Utopia where happiness comes,
Help those around, to try to be strong,
Who knows when you’ll be gone……

Hell is just a euphemism for an awful dark place in one’s emotions.
This is a take on an untreated bipolar patient with depression problems.
