Paradise

Sitting in the shadow of a palmtree
resting my back against it's frame
having my eyes look out at sea
under a cloudless sky, feeling no shame

Crystal-clear water dripping
the sand is warm against my feet
a coconut falls down, it's juice I'm sipping
the paradise I found is a real treat

Being here in this lovely place
makes me feel at ease
the water reflects my face
in this moment I am at peace

Freedom I feel night and day
under the bloodred sky
letting go of worries, everything's okay
like a bird I swear I could fly

Swimming with the dolphins in the sea
it gives me such tremendous joy
their intelligence enlightens me
bringing peace to this boy

Constructing images in the sand
I feel so alive
holding thousands of grains in my hand
they represent past sighs

All these grains, I throw away
in this great sea of love
they transform into prey
now hunted by a white dove

Now I'm no longer afraid
my mind is at peace
I know that love will prevail
fear no longer blows in the trees
