When you're weary
As exhaustion from the day sets in
may I be there for you, to rest your
head upon my breast, kiss your brow.
The day began long before the light
had filled the sky; already weary
filling all your duties, battling wars.
Driven by emotion pent inside you,
you've found in me an anchor to slow
the thoughts, find joy in a release.
Reach for me when your troubled heart
cries for exits from walking tall.
Call out to me, I will not fail you.
No demands made in our time brief,
Respect is strong, compassion deep,
minds connected, you read me well.
Place your head upon my breast; peace.
