iPeace prides itself on being a free space for sharing ideas, opinions and information.

But we have and uphold certain standards. We will not allow posting of explicit horror images of war. We don't need to see it to realize that war is horrific.

We understand also that emotions in these days are running high. But we will not tolerate personal attacks between members.

We ask you to help us in keeping the iPeace space civilized and report to one of the admins any violation.

Praying for more peaceful days

Haya, Israel said it's goals were to dissarm Hamas and make sure they can't rearm. Yet all the talks of there being trials for war crimes on Israels part is looking very likely. I do believe however that you cannot be tried for war crimes untill your military campaign is over. Even though you and I know they are wrong they could, in the eyes of themselves and the UN be "fighting for the greater good."

hi all my friends ...
the number of palestinians killed in this war so far is over 1200 ...
it seems that the coming days that this war will end .... both of the sides says that they atchieved the desired goals.... but i dont know would a certain gaol requires all these lives ... i hope that niether of the sides will abroch media to say that this war was victorious to them .... because these lives deserves to rest in peace....and the murderers should be punish no mater what their side is....

Lubna my dear-
i understand where you are coming from-
however i would like to raise a question:
is what you wrote know a "voice of peace"?
we' the peacemakers- should be very careful in what we are writing- and be aware:
are we resonating the war or the peeace?
are we taking sides - or can see both sides?

i believe we can see both sides.
i believe this teriible war should end in this minute ( or actually a minute before it started)

i believe the peacemakers can be a voice- abig voice.

lets be a voice for peace and not avoice that is incoreging others to hate.

thank you

blessings for peace

my friend; Anael Harpaz ( an amazing jewish women' a peacemaker) ; from "women of vision" and "creativity for peace" sent this e mail.

we are going to do a 100 hours ceremony - starting tonight-
you are all welcome to light a candle for 100 hours and pray with us for peace - .

Beloved Peacemakers,

I have terrible news to share with you.

Bessan Abuelaish, a 2003 Creativity for Peace camper from Jabalya, was killed on Friday. Her sister, Shadha, is in critical condition in an Israeli hospital. Other members of her family have also been killed.

Bessan was a peacemaker, and came from a family of peacemakers, which makes her death even more difficult to accept and understand.

Losing Bessan, one our family, is one of the most terrible things that could happen to our Creativity for Peace family. But there is one thing that would be worse, and that is if we give up.

At this time words are inadequate.
Please pray for healing for Shadha and for the whole Abuelaish family and for the safety of our other campers in Gaza and in the South.

With love, pain, and hope for peace

Anael.

Those I loved murdered,
I did not kill the killer.
My children taken from me
am a father able to forgive.
If I believe war is acceptable I allow it
without seeking its solution.
If killing each other worked, why do we still do it?
I will not believe nor accept evil within me is acceptable.
Nor that there is no solution.
Lubna I respect your and all others perspective
I do not seek to change anyone,
other than myself.
I am one man.
I will not believe one person cannot make a difference.
The world is made, of one persons,
created equally,
Who is it that is more important than another,
who created them to be able to make that claim of knowledge?
leader? who would convince me?
Did they create me that I should follow them,
not the one who created me?

How many times has the phone rung,
and you knew it would before it did and who was on the other end?

People pray for peace,
like sending a phone call to those who forgot what peace is.
All efforts at ending war help achieve that objective,
faster than if no efforts are made.
the sooner the combined efforts are strong enough,
the sooner peace is stronger than war.

War is insane.
I do not want to understand it.
I do not want to hear its excuses,
why would I want to understand them?
No thank you,
I choose not to,
because if I understood them
I too would be insane.

I would rather love
with what time the life giver has given me.
I will serve the God of Truth, Love, Caring, Compassion, Respect.
Not the God of death, destruction, division, hate, abuse.

In the 60' a runaway climbed off a train freight car
I dont remember the name of the town
but uniformed men formed a line against long haired children with peace signs.
I asked forgiveness of the daisy when I picked it,
and put it into the rifle barrel of a gun.

Latter in life my cars used for emergency vehicles shot up,
over and over after half of my sled dogs were killed,
I had a rifle of my own
but instead of using it, put radio controlled cameras at my cars,
and sat at my desk while I shoot him over and over
with the camera a mile away.

Then learned the joy
of using my rifle to dig roots in my garden.

I hear there is no solution.
Is this so no one will look so it can be found?
Humans are not that ignorant they are intellegent.
And we KNOW a solution will be found eventually,
Who would say to stop looking?
Surely not someone who wants it found sooner.
Than later.

Shooting that man was a solution,
but that's doing things the same old way isnt it?
So I came up with something different,
I don't like doing things the same way over and over,
that don't work.

My car I have not started in 9 months.
If there is killing over oil,
I will not say my starting it is more important than someone else's life.

I have a garden to get ready to plant.
Many are without food,
so if I can decrease my demands for it.....

Things cant change if I keep doing things the same way.
