My first impulse was to answer "religion", but then decided on "fear". I believe fear fuels religious fundamentalism as well as ethnic prejudice, and other hatreds that lead to conflict.. Conditions such as hunger, concern for environment, lack of education, economic disparity and greed feed our fears.

Can we change the world?

More about me

I have up to now been an optimistic person. Due to the many conflicts in our world, I have been much less optimistic in the past couple of years. We just don't seem to apply lessons from the past, and conflict continues to be a human condition in most societies. I try not to worry about the many concerns I have, and my spiritual practice helps, but I would like to contribute to making the world a more peaceful place.
