Religion, as a way of explaining our origins and our fates is not a threat to our dreams of global unity. It is what religion does to people, discouraging them from broadening their horizons. If one is to saturate their minds with only the Bible, as it does command, that person is depriving themselves of the Qur'an and the Bhagavad Gita and many other works of literature helpful to living a life excessive with positive vibes. This lack of inter-religious connection is what spreads fear and hate between the Muslim and Christian worlds, not because one is right or wrong, but because they do not understand each other and they have no desire to understand. Knowledge is power!
