What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Our Shrinking Freedom

So what is it?: in the US, it's the military industrial complex among other things

What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Religion

More: Religion goes to the core of one's belief, one's world view. It is how we are brought up and "programmed" by our parents, community, and sometimes, country. And with most religions, it's is "my way or the highway." So many wars are fought because of religion. True freedom and inner peace often starts with freedom from religious dogma.

Can we change the world?: Definitely

Oregon Mini-Tour Part 1

Didn't sleep last night. Too busy getting last minute things ready for my Oregon mini-tour. Finally got everything together and left for the airport at about 3:00 am. Just slept on the plane for the two hour flight from New York to Chicago. All I need is to sleep another 3 hours on the Chicago - Portland flight and I'll be good as new. October Peace Concerts

Very excited about the way things are shaping up for me in the concert department. I have listed in events my mini tour to Oregon from October 12 - October 16. Portland on the 12th (see http://ipeace.ning.com/events/event/show?id=2217368:Event:20223) , a private house concert on the 13th, and a concert with 2 other solo pianists on the 13th in Eugene. 3 concerts in three days. I really need to make up an event for the Eugene. I think I will wait a little longer.

So happy to have a social network for peace. It's great to meet so many people from all over the world who want peace. I believe that once the number of people who want peace reaches a tipping point, the energy and the intention will be so strong, the warmongers won't be able to exert their control over us any longer and we will have a peaceful world at last.

I hope that this group grows to 1 million, make that 1 billion strong. A force to be reckoned with.
