When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a born activist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Other
So what is it?
Fear
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Fear
More
In my opinion, fear is the root cause of greed, prejudice, and hatred of others, including hatred of self. since a person at peace with self will also be at peace with others.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I have written letters to political leaders with whom I share concerns, suggesting plausible rationales for approaches that I believe will be successful in meeting pending crises.
I learned how to do this from my father, a political activist all of his adult life, and even a candidate for public office.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes

Hi Martha, thank you for the beautiful rose that I received, I wish that I could send one back to you but I do not know how, so instead I will send you love, peace, happiness and prosperity for you and your family.
My Center for Peacemaking at Marquette University (which is part of the "consortium" that supports NV Conflict Resolution in MPS) is presenting a panel of experts on NV conflict resolution for K-12 students. The program was supported last year by a $21,000 grant from Lee Thomas of Louisville. Then, this year we received a $100,000 grant from the Brighter Futures Initiative to expand our program in the MPS.
As part of this program we have put together a 3-person panel presentation. All three panelists have both academic expertise and extensive practical experience in nonviolent conflict resolution.
The panel will be on Thursday, February 26th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 in the Alumni Memorial Union, Room 227.
We thought it would be great if you could come to this event and pass it along to everyone you know, including students and faculty.
And ... it'd be a great opportunity for us to meet face-to-face.
Sholem aleichem Martha,
The easiest way to send me an iPeace message is to click on "Comment Back" at the bottom of this comment, which will bring you to my profile page, and then click on "Send a Message" below my photo at the top left. I would so like to know what the long message you tried to send me was about!
Blessings,
