When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?: I feel the pain in the world

What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom, Other

So what is it?: prejudice->fear->hatred->lies->no real knowledge about the world->bad solutions->assumption that we need to fight for all to get "a slice," ->hypervigilance against all "Others" -> prejudice||| Second Verse, Same As the First (a little bit louder and with nukes this time)

More: The warlords masquerading as decent and righteous God-inspired givers of answers on all of the face of the Earth. They create prejudice with propaganda, and human nature and the need for some kind of certain niche in the world, do the rest.

More about me: I'm going back to school to study the Israel Issue to see if I can't make things better before the world once again decides that Jews can't handle having our own homeland. Also, I want to know the real story about Islam's current leaders' views on Jews, not some self-styled "Muslim" version of Bush, Jr's "pastor."

Dear Father, whose truth is gentle,

Help us to find a heart to serve you, even in oppressive circumstances.

Grant that our religion may not be a ground of conceit. May we not love controversy, but rather avoid wrangling and contention. Help us witness to your truth to others, but let it always be done in a spirit of gentleness and truth-seeking.

May none of us be guilty of using anything connected with our faith as a means of worldly gain. Help us to accept the great gain that comes with a godliness combined with contentment.

We brought nothing into this world. You show us that we can take nothing out, except for the treasures we lay up in heaven. Help us to be content and not to seek material riches.
