- Almost all wars are caused by Greed: greed for power, for oil, for war-profiteering... and (this is going to be the MAIN cause in the future) greed for control of water supplies.

- I write children's stories (mostly versions of standards) that try to encourage the reader - of whatever age - to consider "the other side", to realise that there's ALWAYS another point of view, another way of interpreting the "facts".
I sincerely believe that if we ALL had been taught to consider this - and to really RESPECT "The Other's" right to a differing opinion - there would far less conflict of any kind in the World.
I am also a poet, my most important work being an (unfinished?) cycle of poems - each from a different person's perspective - to do with the killing of Rachel Corrie (who has become my muse).

I have been told that I've already exceeded the maximum of 50 friends requests on Ning. I don't want to retract any of those requests, because I am trying to use them to mobilise support for the World March For Peace And Non-Violence.

Are you brave enough
To lay down your arms?
Are you strong enough
To walk away from Power?
Are you smart enough
To admit that you know nothing?
Do you really want it all?
- Enough to turn “mine” into “ours”?

it is always a pleasure to hear from you. Many thanks and pleased to hear that you found time to look at our peace initiatives and wanted to assist even if you cannot come in person. Well, of course as you mentioned you need support our cause for peace which you believe in and your wish to give that special gift to our foundation for peace. That time you take and efforts are a great piece of peace. This is so heart-uplifting, and I take this opportunity to thank you profoundly for staying there with us in both moral support and technical assistance. Good luck in your work efforts and hope that someday, you will be able to visit Sierra Leone and witness first-hand how your intervention is changing lives.
