I just took a walk by the river, my beautiful tidal river friend and teacher. It was my Beltane walk, noticing and celebrating the birth of early summer, here in the North. It was warm and sunny, a clear evening after rain. I saw some hawthorn blossum open, beautiful white flowers, surrounded by bright fresh green leaves.
