WHEN WILL WE LEARN PEACE?

WHEN WILL WE LEARN PEACE?

We will learn when we are all reborn as Buddhas.
We will learn when we are all one with Jesus.
We will learn when we all sit at the hand of Mohammed.
We will learn when we are in the presence of Jehovah.

We will learn when we know, for certain, that there is no
"other" -- that there ARE no boundaries -- that we
are looking at things the wrong way -- "through a glass darkly".

We will learn when no one makes money from armaments.
We will learn when no one indoctrinates soldiers to hate.
We will learn when self-appointed religious leaders change
their teachings from the support of killing to the support of peace.

We will learn when we develop patience.
We will learn when we develop love.
We will learn when we set aside fear.

Teach me to pray for my brothers and sisters who follow Mohammed --
because it is out of my ignorance that I fear them.
Teach me to wish them Peace and happiness,
surcease of suffering, and joy,
prosperity,
and water.
