1. I’m ADHD!
2. I wish I were more organized … and not such a procrastinator.
3. I love all the arts … music, dance, theatre, but I can’t imagine my life without music. Music is a vital part of who I am. I wish I had been an elementary music teacher. Kids and music are a dynamic combo!
4. I’m unimpressed by power, money, and/or celebrity.
5. The mountains are where I find real peace.
6. I have always loved snow days … when I was a kid in school, (my Dad and I used to play Fox and Geese on snow days), when I had kids in school, and now as a teacher. I always feel safe and loved on snow days. (I think it’s because of the Fox and Geese days.)
7. Sometimes I get tired of feeling like a misfit.
8. I wish people would see the real value in what I do professionally.
9. I love too easily – and often too blindly. (Not just in romantic relationships, but in friendships as well.)
10. Barack Obama inspires me like no leader has since Bobby Kennedy.
11. My ex-husband taught me to think for myself … and inspired most of the beliefs that I still carry today.
12. I miss my ex-husband’s friendship more than I ever thought I would. His death affected me much more than I would have thought.
13. My kids and grandson are the best thing that ever happened to me and I’m immensely proud of the person they each are.
14. I love my niece and nephew more than I can say … and am proud of them!
15. I love my son’s creative, talented girlfriend and consider her “mine”!
16. I eat way too much junk.
17. I always try to find the “up” side of things ... but sometimes fail at this!
18. I love John Denver. Doo-Wop makes me smile, too!
19. The best thing I ever did (aside from having 2 super-kids!) was a trip I took out west in 2006. I went by myself and tent-camped most of the way. I really learned a lot about myself … and like what I learned!
20. I try to find the best in people … sometimes overlooking things that shouldn’t be overlooked.
21. I’ve been hurt more than I’d like to remember.
22. I’ve also been so lucky to have loved often (not just romantically).
23. I’m a child of the 60’s … I’ve taken the flowers from my hair, but still believe in “Peace, Love, Sunshine, and Happy”.
24. I’ve learned that sometimes even a decision we regret was still the right decision. The regret is in having to have made the decision at all.
25. I, too, have few really close friends, but they are the BEST!
