Circle Hug in Tuscon Arizona

My best friend reminded me of the time we did a circle hug in Tuscon, Arizona.. She said she uses it as a teaching to people in workshops, in sharing circles..

After a four day conference, about seven of us had become quiet close.. we headed to Bear Canyon for a walk to the Seven Sacred Falls.. Upon arriving there, I made tobacco offerings and sang a stone song to the stone plateaus of the Seven Sacred Falls.. The song resounded off the stone canyon walls of Bear Canyon.. This was an all day event.. We got back to our hotel location.. one fellow lived in his truck.. one fellow had his wife waiting for him at the hotel lobby, as he was late returning.. After their heated discussion, he left and headed toward another hotel restaurant bar.. It was our last night there, so we went looking for him and met up with him at the restaurant, sitting in a lobby chair... We all had a wonderful last dinner together.... His wife did not want to join us.. He was angry and spoke angry words.. I suggested he not do that.. to think of his beautiful daughters, so he went silent..

After our dinner, we stood out front of the restaurant... the guy who lived in the truck reached out to hug my best friend,, she reached out for me, then her other best friend reached out to hug another, and the others joined in.. we all coaxed the angry fellow to join us... and finally he did.. we held each other shoulder to shoulder, then waist to waist, and swayed back and forth for 45 minutes.. Our circle hug had become a circle ceremony...
