That's what a friend asked just now. I think we do, but we seem to "eat" our care instead of showing it. My friend said that we have lost our citizen's courage, and this could well be true. But what causes us to lose our courage to speak up? Is it fear for being different, for being "left alone"? Or have we been reprogrammed during the ages when we believed that there were others who always knew what was best for us, religions, governments, scientists, teachers, doctors ... all telling us that we had lots to learn (from them) and forgot to listen to what we already knew.
Yes we care, now we need to speak up with compassion, respect and above all, using words that come from ourselves, our spiritual heart.
Aside from this contemplative discussion I braved the cold on slippery roads to take the first Hatha Yoga class of the year. Hatha Yoga is too slow for me but at the same time it offers me a chance to slow down, to relax, to balance the other, stronger activities I engage my body and mind in on a daily level. For the moment I keep Hatha Yoga in my weekly program, exactly because it's too slow :-)
