* Christmas at Turtle Mountain *

In addition to the annual holiday gift drive for the children
on the Pine Ridge Reservation, Leonard Peltier is organizing a
gift drive for the Turtle Mountain Reservation in Belcourt, North
Dakota. Leonard grew up on the Turtle Mountain Reservation and many
of his family members still live there.

This annual gift drive is one way in which Leonard continues his
humanitarian work for his people. Help Leonard reach out beyond
the bars that imprison him. Remember... The gift drive helps the
children and families, but also Leonard himself. Help keep Leonard's
spirit strong through the difficult holiday season.

Send new (unwrapped) toys, warm clothing, books, school supplies,
etc., for children ages newborn to 18 years. To ensure delivery by
Christmas, mail your gift no later than December 17.

* Day of Justice *

On Friday November 28th, the Leonard Peltier Defense Offense
Committee will hold a demonstration called "Day of Justice" at the
Fargo Federal Courthouse, 110 Quentin N Burdick, 655 First Avenue
North, Fargo, North Dakota.

The Turtle Mountain Tribal Council recently passed a resolution
demanding the immediate release of tribal member Leonard Peltier
to their custody. The "Day of Justice" calls for the US Bureau of
Prisons to recognize the sovereignty of Turtle Mountain and let
Leonard Peltier go home.

The US Bureau of Prisons is not following the law in regard to
releasing Leonard Peltier on parole. Legally, Peltier should have
already been released under Title 18, Sections 4205 and 4206, of
the U.S. Criminal Code. The "Day of Justice" asks, "Why is Leonard
Peltier still in prison?"

Featured speaker for the "Day of Justice" is Russell Means, a
member of the Lakota Oglala Nation who has been on the forefront
of organizing for the American Indian Movement since the early
