1. Exit from the QuickBooks take the help of Task Manager when you gets unable to quit normally.
2. Keep pressing the CTRL key of your keyboard and along with it double-click on the QuickBooks 2012 icon. The No Company Open window becomes visible.
3. Again keep pressing the ALT key of your keyboard, and select the company file to open. Once the file is open free the Alt key.
4. It message appears to input the User ID and Password, then again hold the alt key and press OK.
5. Discharge the alt key once the file gets open.
6. Go to Edit > Preferences > General > My Preferences.
7. Unmark Beep when recording a transaction.
8. From the Preferences window select Desktop view.
9. From the My Preferences Windows, unmark Show Getting Started Window and alter the Desktop option from Save when closing company to Don’t save the Desktop. By doing these modifications now you can also open the company files faster.
10. Click OK.
11. Quit the QuickBooks and re-open the application.
