One Wedding One Vacation and One Memorial

Dear Everyone
I had a terrific time at my cousin's wedding in Sugarbush VT. The weather was beautiful and so was the setting. The wedding took place near a red round barn down near a stream which emptied into a small pond. Ducks swam languidly in the pond as Elizabeth Von Trapp played and sang for the ceremony. There were too many blessings and it was too churchy for me but I had a good time seeing family and the band which played after the reception and dinner was fabulous.
I stayed for three relaxing days at Calf Island in Frenchman's Bay, Maine. The weather was sunny and warm except for one cloudy, foggy day. The fog shrouded part of the islands in a mystical are of mystery. I had a beach bonfire with hotdogs and chips with soda, and another time my family and I had a fire in the fireplace and ate smores.
For the memorial service I read my poem I wrote about my grandma and played piano for the reception afterwards down by the pool. The service was moving and we cried as people began to share memories of Milly and also play and sing songs. Here is the poem:

My Grandmother’s Garden
She was the goddess of her beautiful garden
She loved all she knew and never condemned
When times got tough she didn't ever even bend
She was there with everyone to the very end

In my grandmother's garden I felt forever fine
In her beautiful garden I saw her divine designs
She planted seeds of love and life for all to find
Even when you failed she didn't ever seem to mind

She encouraged us to laugh, love and grow
She loved those caught in life's ugly undertow
We learned to love nature and to go with the flow
These were the precious seeds she knew how to sow
