SONGS THAT TOUCH YOUR HEART

There are songs in this world that are so hauntingly beautiful that we are compelled to stop everything just to listen whenever we hear them. "Amazing Grace" and "Ave Maria" are two of my favorites in this category and "Celtic Woman's The Voice" is the third. I believe that music uplifts a man's (or a woman's) heart and touches his/her soul.... soothes and eases all heartache. . . at least for a short time.

Music is one of the things that connects an individual to his/her strongest, truest feelings. The other ones are prayer or meditation, and deep, soul searching conversation with a trusted friend or loved one. It can also can take one right out of the present moment to a different, perhaps happier time.

It is true that we all "dance to a different drummer" and my favorites are not yours, but some music is universal and brings joy to all who hear. Make time in your life to listen to the songs that DO make you happy and to play the instruments that bring YOU pleasure. Too many of us put music aside when the pressures of work and family life get in the way.

Some of the fondest memories from my childhood include family "sing-a-longs." Children love to make music, the louder the better!

The lyrics are included on the video! *smile* I hope the words bring to you as much JOY as they brought to me. We can never have too much of that in our lives. . . . and since all joy is usually brushed with a minor note of sadness (that's what makes it precious) you will hear it in this song as well. In everyone's life, sorrow will always be the currency that pays for joy.
