Unconditional Love

Perhaps most people on this planet struggle with the concept of unconditional love. It can be explained in basic terms as loving someone regardless of their actions or beliefs. It is a term often used to describe love between family, piers & the global village. It has also been used to describe Divine Source’s love for humankind. Another aspect of unconditional love is “acceptance” and “forgiveness", this means that we must accept and forgive ourselves first and then that love will spread out to others like the ripples on a pond.

We must not confuse unconditional love with conditional love, for they are two different concepts. Conditional love requires one to expect exchange of some sort to satisfy our needs. Conditional love requires one to earn another’s love. Whereas, in unconditional love, you give love with no expectations of getting anything in return, it is given freely and unattached. Unconditional love is an act of free will regardless of one’s feelings.

Unfortunately most of us learn “conditional” love from an early age from others who have also been conditioned to feel the fear, ego and judgments that they were also taught from childhood. But, herein lies our acceptance and non judgment and finally forgiveness. May i suggest that we start looking at our values as something internal and not external. We need to fix ourselves from “within” first in order to pass on true value and unconditional love to the world. We as a species, need to move from love with conditions to “love without conditions”in order to bring healing and positive change to ourselves and all others.

May i suggest that we learn to let go of all the conditioned concepts taught to us through life, whether it be from our parents, teachers or piers and start learning from our own inner source of love and knowing. It’s ok, don’t be afraid of your own Truth and inner knowing, for the universe is within each and everyone of us!!! We all have great inner power, we do...and great capacity for unconditional love for ourselves and all others.

Unconditional love is all encompassing and permeates all that is. It is the ultimate lesson we all have to learn in this life experience and it is not just something limited to just a privileged few, we are all capable and worthy of this great, freeing love. Unconditional love teaches us to not only love and accept ourselves and others but frees us to comprehend that we are all connected and ONE. It unfolds our hearts open like a beautiful lotus and raises our spiritual awareness, understanding & true compassion...and as we look within and teach ourselves this awareness then we teach others, and so on, and so on...

This great expression of freeing love does not have to be a rare thing for some to possess. We all deserve to achieve and benefit from unconditional love. May i suggest that we let go of the negative conditioning, thoughts and feelings society has taught us all our lives, for it is just a veil ment to keep us from the Truth, and from re-assessing and getting in touch with our True nature and inner power...remember, that it is in the giving, that you make the other person realize...
