Sorry I didn't reply sooner, Ivory, and thanks so much for your kind words. I'm a bit unwell again, but hope to be back in the light again soon. Hope all's well with you, and sending you peaceful wishes.

"Mad World"

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very mad world mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very mad world ... mad world
Enlarging your world
Mad world

Thanks for your kind words, Ivory. I've read your profile and you sound like a kindred spirit. Chief Seattle's words are very moving. I feel much better now than I did earlier this year; thanks for your concern. It's great to come across a born young activist in Morocco; would love to add you as a friend. Take care, and peaceful wishes. Michael

Thanks Ivory for your friendship and for caring for the powerless and needy in this world!
I was wondering if the biggest obstacle for peace really is religion, is it? Most of the conflicts and wars in this world were for social or political reasons (Ireland, Lebanon, Palestine) - religion is just the pretext and cover-up for other interests ...:) All religions are about the same values of equality, justice, peace and love thy neighbor - it's only people can be misled and used so easily as soon as they stop looking for the truth themselves and start to follow doctrin or ideology...Glad you are here! Martha

Thanks for that Ivory. It's another example of the tiny few messing up the name of the many. I'll get back to you "off-list" with any questions. You can maybe answer this one though. I, now, don't consider myself to be particularly religious and it has ALWAYS mystified me that Christians (catholic) and Christians (Protestant) kill each other for being Christian. They'll say it's political but it is still the same religion. ... Northern Ireland and Muslims, we are told, are killing Muslims because they are Muslims not sure of spelling (Shiite and Sunni).
I ought to add that I'm currently email a Muslim chap in Ghana and have a few friend in the local Indian (?) restaurant who are quite happy with discussion. But I've never refused another string to my bow ;-)
Brian.

Well Ivory, i visited Marocco as a tourist. And like it is in life, i had good and thoughtfull experiences. I visited many places, but let me tell you i had a wonderfull experience on one of the southern beaches where travellers created free campsites. Everywhere where bonfires at which people met, talked and made music. As a guitarplayer i joined some groups and improvised as good as i could. In the middle of the night, while everybody was tired, we went swimming in the ocean. I was so amazed about the sight of people coming out of the water and lit magically up in the moonlight. Later i learned that it was because of some kind of algy in the water that stuck themselves to the skin. Those days felt like paradise. Please, tell me something about your life, about your current situation. Greetings William
