Introduction

Mali is rich and varied cultural heritage in West Africa. Archaeological sites and rocks painting are testimony of ancient settlement. Some tourist’s places are classified by UNESCO as world heritage: Djenne, Timbuktu, Dogon country.

History

Historically the name comes from Manden, the prestigious empire of Manden/Mali which was the most powerful State of Africa south of Sahara in the middle ages. One of the important achievement, of this empire is the organization of the famous congress of KURUKAN FUKA in 1236; during which they adopted the constitution of Manden Empire. Many of those rules are still guiding Malian people and some are used for conflict resolution such Sinankunya or Sonokoya kun. Many other empire succeed each other in almost the same area before Maden it was Ghana Empire and after Mali songhoi empire. Timbuktu was a key city in these empires as an outpost for trans-Saharan trade and a center for scholar.Mali was invaded by France starting in 1880, which organised it as an overseas territory. It becomes officially indenpant september 22sd 1960.

Today, there is a strong historical evidence pointing to the possibility
that Abubakar II, a Malian prince who wanted to discover what lies behind the Ocean,
was the first one to discover America in the 13th century before Christoph Colombus.
In Brazil for instance, there is a presence of the mandinka language,
traditions and customs.

Hello Luisella, nice to be your friend.Last month I was in Italy for my daughter lives in Conegliano and her two daughters live and work in Milano. I have never been to Genova. Last Nov. we had lunch outside near the Rialto bridge in Venetie and my daughter tells me now it has been raining for a week. I have been very lucky! Thanks for that post on "save the earth" you said what I wanted to but had a hard time putting it so clearly.
I have a website I own, and am thinking of getting it going as a place for people to come to learn things they CAN do to help.
That is what you and I and "what feels like all to few" are doing.... taking it beyond just words.

I may not have much time right now, but still trying.
I had a client tell me he wanted his money back because the work has not gotten done on time, but said he will pay me when the work is 'done' so its just a matter of sending him what I can then finishing the job. Once done my income goes up $125 a month more.
Sad part of that is, I was just telling my oldest son that I was wanting to get the job done before the person asked (he knows the customer), 2 days later the customer asked.....
Its the same son who said he wants my land, and I told him in my will, I'm leaving it to my horse :D
(may the horse teach him what I so far have not been able to do! = RESPECT)

Which is what this is all about. Respect for others but also respect for this earth, because we are one with it. Not seeing the truth, is not necessary for something to be true.
Not just one with each other, but the earth itself.
Peace, is worth fighting for, with the truth.
