Beyond a conflict is the struggle for meeting the other
It is on the plane of contact between two individuals that a third appears
"When two or three are gathered....I will be among you
Love conquers as we all know...it is our hope for the future

Hi Philip!
Sending you some kindness and peaceful stillness for these days between the years. I particulary enjoy the stillness today. The absence of any agenda.
Relating with others from this quiet place. Without needs. Some shy bliss is unfolding.
Feel everyones heart is a little more open.
I wish now that it stays this way and in future even grows.

Love

Doris

I wish I could paint those flowers in the snow
and walk the path to the temple high above all pain and suffering
and swim far out into the ocean and see the sun spreding tis rays on the surface and then fly high though the sky and ask God
How can I make them all happy?

Hi Philip!
Thanks for the Joni Mitchell quote. And there it was, this morning, in front of my house : Frost perched on the ground, huddling in the frozen grass, gobbling up summer down. Serendipidies. It is actually quiet rare to have frost here by the coast.
Yes, my primary occupation is making clothing out of a superfine woollen fleece I developed, see website. It's a small little workshop I run here and export the lovely stuff all over the world, to everyones delight.
A nice way to make a living. I am also an artist and a therapist. But prefer to make a living with something that has nothing to do with my Art or with healing others.
The west of Ireland is still magical, even though some things have naturally changed. The raw wildness of the landscape and the warm kindness
of the people are still here.
About the poem, the line that strikes a cord in me is the last one, how the wild geese, from their vantage position announce my place in things.
In the bigger picture, it ALL makes sense.
I spent the day in Light. On my beach, a vast expanse of sky and light with the wonderful sounds of the waves as a soundtrack.

Enjoy whatever you do

Hi Philip!
I sent this yesterday.
Today is a new day. Sunshine, cold crisp air, now a moonlit, vast midwinter night.

It has been raining all day.
People scurry through the streets, hunched over, carrying some Christmas shopping.
I lit a candle and settle in to a midwinter night. These nights are long so we can become still.
It's this time of year.
I read a poem and it moves me, creates a moment of peace in my heart.

I like to share it with you so it might create a moment of peace in your heart too.

Wild Geese

You don't have to be good.
You don't have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.

Tell me about despair, yours,
and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of rain
are moving across the landscape,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again.

Whoever you are,
no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you
like the wild geese,
harsh and exciting -
over and over announcing
your place
in the family of things.

by Mary Oliver

Blessings to you

Doris

Hi Philip,
I lived in Chicago for 8 years, and New York for 6. Guess I have been initiated enough to snow for now.
Before I moved to Chicago. I'd seen snow in the mountains in California. It was always just there on the ground. When I saw snow in Chicago I found out where it came from. The Windy City provided the answer. It came in horizontal mode! I was transfixed.

Greetings Philip!
I am blood brother to the Lakota but have spent little time with them, and my relation (brother from another mother) where I became so, I've lost contact with 30 years ago.

I am by birth blood of all nations other than Asia and Australia.
"It seems everyone is shouting their God IS God..."

If God is truth, and someone shouts what you said, to me, I smile and agree!

There was a stone, placed in the middle of a circle of people.
One man sitting at the east remarks how beautiful the light shines on it.
The other man sitting at the west says there is not light shining on it it is in the shade.
One to the south says he can almost feel the warmth from the stone where he is sitting.
One to the north says it is covered with moss, it is damp....

If those around the circle fight over the "description" as seen from their point of view,
I kind of chuckle at them and smile warmly and point out to them, each is telling the truth.
It is by coming together from all over this world, those who sought "truth" and found it,
but their point of view of "the truth" is just somewhat different.
United, our perception of "God" becomes more clear as we SHARE the truth we have separately and individually found.
If someone tells me "their God IS God", if their God, is truth, then I can agree.

A book called the Bible, tells of Adam and Eve, the first two people.
Science says we have been here millions of years, the Bible says these first two people were here only around 4000 years ago.
Which is truth?
BOTH!
If a human evolves to a certain point, at what point do we say we have a new species? Or a new people? If the Bible tells the truth, and science tells the truth, one is not wrong, but perhaps how we are seeing things, was less correct than when we combine the different points of view, then the "WHOLE" becomes more clear.
If I focus on what is "wrong" with what the other person says, just because I cannot see that side of the stone, does not make it not real and true.
So I do not focus to much on the differences of many religions, but on what is the SAME.
It is the same stone we all see in the center of the circle.
It only looks different, depending on where we are in the circle.
Evil has a pattern, to divide things, and peoples.
Truth has a pattern, that in truth all things are inter-related.
If I fight over religions, is this the path of truth? Or evil?
I dont fight, I seek the truth in what all say, and remind them of that part, to help that, and the union of our perspectives, to help us all see what is at the center more clearly.
Through the eyes of our brothers and sisters in different lands and cultures.

To all my relations.

I have just read your comment to the fact that you are overwhelmed with iPeace and all your friends. I am very happy to be one of those smiling faces you mention and I hope I can somehow contribute to peace and justify my presence hereon Earth.
Peace be with you, my friend.
