Oh sorry - commented on the discussion ...
Does it make sense to you? Or do you think I'm a dreamer?
By the way - I totally agree and am not comparing my life to the palestinians' - it is not about comparison it is the understanding that we are all trapped in this horrible reality.
Roro thanks for your comment, I wish I had an answer on your how question - it would make me the happiest man on earth.
I know alot of what is happening in the west bank since I have friends from both sides, and very sad of what both sides are going through. The saddest thing is that these events make all of us blunt and in insensitive - I want to believe that understanding eachothers fears can make us understand we are trapped in the same "barrier" and we will never get out unless we change our tone and focus and lead people to think differently.
Dear Roro and husband, sorry if my reaction to your blog (about Noa) may have sounded a bit like 'lecturing you'. I just want to let you know when looking at your page here I see LOVE, and 'cool people' as they say over there in the US
May your dream come true sooner than you think
Respect!

Greetings . I have just watched the video from Michael John Smith below .
The comment near the end , about all people who smoke , should buy
their cigarettes from their opponents , is a pretty neat concept .
Recently I read a comment that , with one notable exception , no two
countries , that had McDonalds restaurants , have ever been to war .
Could us folks , that are happily addicted to nicotine , contribute to
Peace , cause we changed our ' pushers ' , and had to actually talk with
them ? Thinking like this , could create beneficial changes .
Roro, After my "rant" below i see you are a Palestinian American..so i would like to apologize for my tone.
I had wrongly assumed you are an American who sits on the sidelines and gets to very clear opinions without understanding the complexities.
But you have grown up in the shadow of the tragedy, of Naqba, of frustration and loss. It would be important to hear your story.
I believe that our reality is more complex than what you see. Having recently read Sari Nusseibeh's Once Upon A Country, i see that Palestinians can deal with this complexity without giving up on their national aspirations and dignity.
and shame on the Arab world who never did anything to help the Palestinians.
And shame on those who rejected Partition plan and caused wars that resulted in the loss of Palestinian land and Independence.
There is discrimination in Israel..but there is no ethnic cleansing...as the Arab population grows faster than Jewish. Arab school system is far behind in the number of classrooms..but Arab participation in education on the University level is constantly rising...
There are problems..and things are more complex than you might imagine.
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh roro behave this is not a love page , hmmmm kissing allowed on here hahahahahahahahahah lol funy

Dear Roro, i've received your message and have translated it into Dutch for my Human Rights website. I have lived and worked in Israel in a stretch of about 20 years for about three.
