Or as beautiful as a rose.
Its fragrance is pure as it wafts
On a spring breeze from places afar
Though each is beautiful beyond compare

As it is from person to person.

ps just got back from l.a. where i had not much access to a 'puter, just saw your comments today.
Dear one: You are so smart to be in touch with the wholeness of your being and to share that with ALL of US. I am constantly in tears at the beauty that you exude and your willingness to express it in so many exciting and creative ways. Of course, what I am feeling is the beauty that is inside of me and the JOY that is who I truly am. I am so grateful to you that you are reminding me not only of that beauty, but of a hope that I am beginning to believe that the people on this EARTH will surely rise to the task of caring for HER and themselves in the way that was intended by our creator.
Yesterday my very dear 21 year old friend and I were walking through the woods around my home---she was picking herbs and flowers and greens for our lunch and we were quietly sharing our stories and our feelings about the past, the present and the future. WHAT A GIFT TO BE ABLE TO KNOW ANOTHER HUMAN BEING SO DEEPLY AND SO OPENLY. There was a hawk flying overhead, swirling and swirling so elegantly, also, I imagine, looking for lunch, aware of our presence as we were aware of hers---I felt the connections of the humans and the plants and the animals and the dirt and the rocks in that moment and all the things that have been placed on this planet to feed and nurture and entertain us. I now have hope that you dearest beauty whose heart speaks so openly, and those who hearts you touch will join together and ring the planet so brilliantly that no person will be able to deny the need to care for themselves and their Earth home and will want so desperately to join in the ring of LOVE that is surrounding them. When I saw the ring of love around Jerusalem and knew that many of the people who live there were so intentionally abused and many of their family members destroyed, I realized that healing could happen, but it takes ALL of US, just breathing and appreciating our breath so much that we burst into song. You embody that vision. How fortunate for me, for all your friends, and for the Earth as a whole that you have chosen to return to this planet and to emanate your beauty wherever you go.
I have been gifted with much poetry over the years of my later life---ever since i stumbled upon the essence of my own existence---
actually, it wasn't really an accident; I very rudely demanded of my creator (with my fist in the air) that if "YOU are up there, YOU get down here and SHOW ME"----and so, of course, since ALL of our requests are answered, I was shown myself within and have been in awe ever since...... anyway, I would like to send you one of my poems by snail mail, if you feel comfortable giving me your address--- OR you could just come to Asheville, NC and do a concert here---here's a sample poem---NOT the one I want to send you.....
My name is JOY
I'm way done with boys
I don't play with toys
'Cause I met me a man
Who has a slight tan
who boosted the span
Of my short little life
By showing me I was NOT just a wife that
But wholeness and goodness
Free of all strife.
He showed from within
The Joy I'd hidden,
Convinced that such love
Was surely forbidden.
Now I'm alive in the truest of ways
And the LOVE that you showed me
Just stays and still stays.
Maharaji, my dearest of comrades, I pray
That forever and ever
I never no never
Will ever let sever
The LOVE that you gave!
Know that you are loved and cherished as a sacred being and that I think of you often during the day, knowing that you are somewhere sharing your beauty and your abundant gifts and talents with someone somewhere. I am so grateful that sometimes, that someone is me!
