Great! I'm glad you think nationalism is a load of rubbish. So do I. It's just another one of those really stupid human inventions. There should be no national borders in my opinion. Perhaps you could have small county style democracies instead (like within the UK, but with no national border) and the only relevance of the borders between the counties would be for voting. People would be free to move wherever they wished.
