yes, keyboard works ok, but I have lots to do too....it doesn't work by itself.
I like to keep some friends in US aware of what I am up to, so facebook is a good place for that. So many of the oldies and goodies have left this pad....so unfortunate.
People like you still have a warm spot in my heart! Anyhow, good to know a long haired male mother hippy is watching over this place.

It is hard to figure out what goes in in that part of the world. The US and the Pakistani government are trying to keep the Taliban in Afghanistan, which is their home. Pakistan is our 'ally' regardless of how they treat their own citizens.
The slaughter of the missionary people which took place in Afghanistan is horrible intolerable, but it is not necessarily surprising. Many people in Afghanistan and in the Taliban are religious fanatics, not the common Muslim. The missionaries when unprotected, walking through a region that was known to be very dangerous.
I think sometimes we Westerners are naive and think that just because we are good people doing good work that we can't come to harm. It is very sad and I hope we don't have any more of these terrible experiences. Missionaries need to be under armed guard in all areas of the world where there is such conflict.

I'm on the road just now - in my motorhome, not on the bike I'm afraid - so not visiting here quite so often for a few days. Birmingham - Shropshire - Buckinghamshire - Kent. Having a good time and will be back here a bit more often soon.
