He sentido mis palabras desmoronarse,
las he sentido apuñalar mi garganta
y cortarla con el filo de la soberbia.
Las he masticado sin dar tiempo
a un pensamiento ligero que las condenen.
También las he sentido indiferentes, sin tacto,
cuando me golpean con el amargo
de las verdades.
Son ellas [mis palabras]
enemigas y aliadas por conveniencia.
Venenosas, asesinas, irónicas.
Quebradas en mis labios, las he sentido,
al enfermarse de anemia por amor.
Inofensivas.
Mis palabras se volvieron sordas
cuando una ráfaga de viento a su paso
acabó con ellas.
Y ahora no están,
no las siento,
no las respiro.
Han muerto calladas y desgastadas,
cansadas de pronunciar
sonidos inútiles.
