Profile Information

When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a pacifist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom, Other
So what is it?
Plutôt que l'amour, la célébrité, la foi, l'argent, plutôt que la justice, donnez-moi la vérité.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Greed
More
Greed is inevitable. In order to defeat it, we will need to join it.

Right now, our taxes go to pay subsidies for car and petroleum companies, and the earth-groping Monsanto prospers thanks to favorable legislations (not favorable to earth or human beings). We treat the ogres like if they were benefactors of this humanity.

At the same time, we neglect our food supplies and the well-being of our species.
IF we put enough emphasis on more positive investments, we will tip the scale.

(War? Greed and/or pride bring wars.)

I have to share my experience as a volunteer at "Project ECOSPHERE, Environmental Fair" Brome Edition (Quebec)
www.projetecosphere.org

I spent two days surrounded by an impressive crowd of conscience-seeking and conscience-sharing individuals, conferences, recycled art and fashion ( !!!!! ), eco-building, ...

The attendance at the fair is growing incredibly every year, the organisation runs smoothly, BUT ALL THE MONTREAL MEDIAS WERE TALKING ABOUT in the preceeding days WAS THE 400TH QUEBEC CITY BIRTHDAY.

I was looking at Ecosphere's devoted organisers having to cope with a tight budget, and I wondered: Do the organizers of the year-long birthday party feel tight in their budget?

The world won't be saved by superheroes in nylons, it won't be saved by a grand singing performance. If it is saved, it will be thanks to a majority of us who will start thinking like the crowd of "ECOSPHERE, environmental fair"
They are the heroes I would like to hear more of on the news.
www.projetecosphere.org

An individual can save the world, with enough help.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
My favorite nick-names are: "Dompteur de hamac" (hamac-trainer) or "Philanthrope-utopiste" (the utopist-philanthropist).
I don't see myself as an activist, but I do try to act.

What is the translation for "artisan-récupérateur"?
I like to build walls with old french doors and wooden windows, and furniture with old wooden drawers (22 doors, 60 windows and 100 drawers in my Montreal loft, inside an old panties mill).

Right now I am fighting for my right to live here, since I was "encouraged" to leave. I learned on the way that a condo project is the real issue (50+ condos).

This old mill would deserve to be protected from greed, not only for it's historical value as a building:
This place also has a 30 years + history of creation, as it hosted the homes/workshops of many blooming artists. Danse, painting, sulpting, cinema, visual arts, theatre, animation, circus-artists/fire-jugglers/massotherapists multidisciplinairy artists, exotic wood dildo designer, ...

Most of these old mills, where artists and atisans thrive, have already been transformed in fac-simile condos. Our obsolete laws and regulations permit abuse on these residents who are not as well protected as the average rented appartment occupants. Up to 50% rent increases, dirty hallways, deficient everything, and we have to pay for our own door knob and every repair in our lofts.

So maybe I am an activist after all.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes
