Let me kiss away your tears
Let me touch your face so gently
Let me quiet all your fears
Let me feel the petal softness
The curve of your sweet lips
Let me trace your form so softly
With just my finger tips
Let me tell you that I love you
Let me say it once out loud
Let me show you all my feelings
Just this once with head unbowed
Let me pretend for a second
That you might love me too
Let me feel your eyes upon me
And I’ll make believe it’s true
And lastly let me savor
The sweetness of your breath
So I can visit heaven
Without my knowing death

I see the good in you.
I want to feel your smile against me.
The warm curves of your cheeks, oh
I know they would fit against mine.
I met you in pieces, full of holes.
You took my shambles and showed me
that it would only take a string to make me into a necklace.
Or at least that's how you made me feel.
My friend, I trust your sure hands.
Your wondering eyes don't do them justice.
Be my string, the good in me.
Tie me back together so I am not unweathered, but transformed.
Look closely. Believe.
Used.
Broken.
but Alive.
Don't fill my holes; I need them to breathe.
Just breathe with me for a bit.
