John Lennon and Yoko Ono used their honeymoon at the Amsterdam Hilton, in March 1969, as a "Bed-in for Peace" that attracted world-wide media coverage. At the second "Bed-in" in Montreal, in June 1969, they recorded "Give Peace a Chance" in their hotel room. The song was sung by over half a million demonstrators in Washington, D.C. at the second Vietnam Moratorium Day, on 15 October 1969.

John Lennon is somebody very special to me: he is almost my twin! He was born, as you know, on October 9th, and I on September 30th, the same year! therefore I recognize myself in his writings and declarations!

The Message of John as for now is
also to release the fear of Death.
When we release the fear od Death
no one can control us anymore.

It might raise a few hackles here & there; however, I believe it is important to pay attention to such statements. Sometimes it seems to me people almost deify Lennon, which is the last thing he would have wanted:

I AM one of you. Thanks John &Yoko, sending my love to you up in heaven, you had been such worthy prepairers.
Now we come along to an AGE of the "Come-back 68-Generation". I was born in 1967, for sure I decided to "come in" at the first wave energy of this Wind of Change to help and assist building up a Land of Freedom, Peace and lightful Love like you do. Thank you for your invitation in this group, a pleasure to me to follow. :-)

Comment by stephanie farago on December 17, 2008 at 11:49am: I feel that John Lennon re-invented the Peace Movement along with Bob Dylan and Joan Baez by being courageous fearless artists who told the truth as they saw it relentlessly. Gandhi and Martin Luther King were their predecessors. Fortunately for us John took up where they left off and like them he was martyred...which increased the potency and urgency of his and our cause for Peace.

It took me several years to stop crying about John's death, our loss of innocence and the realization that our greatest advocates for Peace were victims of assasination...Heroism is a dangerous business armed or unarmed.The only people who oppose pacifists are those who are the masters of war profiting from war production. Every war has been perpetrated by a lie. And as the majority of people are now waking up and recognize that we have been manipulated by wealthy slave owners profiting from free labor who then graduated into wealthy industrialists producing weapons for more profit, the tides are turning. Parents will not sacrifice their children for lies, torture and new world order agenda.
"Imagine" seems like our anthem for Peace and 70% of the US and Israel are for Peace...with so much of the rest of the world embracing President Obama and his campaign message of hope for a balanced harmonious future, I believe we are carrying the torch now along with those who preceded us...And we are many and they are few and I truly believe we are headed for a Golden Age of Peace and equality. We are growing and we are going to prevail over the Blue Meanies after all.

Comment by Johnnie on December 17, 2008 at 3:11am: ..there are no problems...only sol...utions....here comes the Sun....its all right...you do not have to worship the Sun like all your more aware and more at ease with Nature ancestors but please realize as far as friends go...it is a good one.....and John was a good friend...trying to open minds and he succeeded....
