John Lennon and Yoko Ono used their honeymoon at the Amsterdam Hilton, in March 1969, as a "Bed-in for Peace" that attracted world-wide media coverage. At the second "Bed-in" in Montreal, in June 1969, they recorded "Give Peace a Chance" in their hotel room. The song was sung by over half a million demonstrators in Washington, D.C. at the second Vietnam Moratorium Day, on 15 October 1969.

People reconized John because he cared desperatly for the world to achive peace. Geoge cared too he's died but i get questions asking me who he is and the other beatles than John. John is a symbol but he's just a mere peice to the puzzle together you can only add everyone to the picture and the picture i hope that we can see is Peace. Because we should and can give it a chance.

Comment by Johnnie on December 9, 2008 at 6:10pm: ..John Lennon was receiver of the Universal Truths....many people on this planet have been...he lived in a time when technology made worldwide audiences available for his every action...he felt the same things in his heart as you and I ...Jesus..Mohamed...Martin Luther King...and countless other seekers of Truth and Peace...he delivered his message in beautiful form and was not understood by so many..just like all the others...the pressures of life grow with each passing day....the message is always the same...Love..Peace...and Compassion..I would just like to say Thank You to him and to everyone that has tried to make a difference in this world...past and present...I have a website dedicated to Love and Kindness with writings I received over the years....I started putting the date and time I received them....and hope that someone might enjoy them....www.relevations.org thank you Johnnie Hargrave
