I wrote my Ph.D on Nobel Laureate Saul Bellow, and have published two books about his works. I have a picture taken with him, when I organized the "First International Saul Bellow Conference "at Haifa University, in 1987, appearing on

IN MEMORY OF RABIN
Thirteen years have passed since the very day when a conscienceless, fanatic right-wing assassin, had shot Israel's prime minister and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Itzhak Rabin, after a grand public meeting for the peace process in Tel Aviv, on November 4th, 1995.
We're lighting a candle in his memory every year, but thrilled to realize that our people has not learnt the full lesson; there are still talks and talks are threat to our democracy; to every democracy.

I think the most promising development ever is that the latter years have shown a development towards a widened peace concept, where the root causes are attacked, and those tackling these causes in a creative and for business-as-usual in the first place provocative way got their rightful recognition!

Wanghaari Mathai, Muhammad Yunus and IPCC/Al Gore :).

The sakharov Price has been awarded to Hu Jia to honnore all the people without voices in Tibet and in China......
That is very great ....and give me a little hope that the world did not forget the tibetan people
