When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?: I feel the pain in the world

What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom

More: Those that have most (materially speaking only of course) manipulate the economy, the legal system, commerce, people's beliefs - the list is endless - in order to have more. This applies to politicians, CEO's, media people, etc.
But I do prefer not to dwell on this negative aspect, and for that reason hardly keep up with the "news". (I remember how Norman Mailer has spoken of "factoids" and prefer to be ignorant rather than brain-washed)

More about me: I (carrying a UK passport, whatever that means) live in southern France with my French wife Marie-Ange. We do all we can to live ecologically and simply, in harmony with and with respect for nature. We have been living in a yurt for two years now and love it. We have a project to create a yurt village where we can educate young people (and perhaps the not so young) to adopt these values. So far bureaucracy and a distorted economy have prevented us from buying land where we can put this into practice.
