NOTE - Oct 2, 2009
The story group has gone through changes. They say that changes are positive. The best change I can imagine is that YOU write a story on the group! Why? Read below and then decide if you feel my initial reason for starting this group is valid.....I think you just may see that it is. Hope so!

Breaking Past Life Vows and Pacts
By Clive Hetherington
huddersfieldastronomy.org.uk/Members/chetherington
Many of us have had past lives in monastic environments, religious orders, secret sects and so on. Some of us will have made strong vows in the name of God with much emotion and determination, believing that they were right, and perhaps they were for us at that time. A vow made with strong intent carries over into other lifetimes unless a time limit…

When this song hit the record stores in 2001, I was immediately drawn to it. It blared outa my car stereo every morning on the way to work...my kids will testify to that! :P
But recently, I learned the meaning behind the song...8 years later...and it came to me at a time when I had just lost my mother to breast cancer.
The song has special meaning to me now...
"The best thing we can do by loss of love is...find ourselves through it."

Sooner or later , all universe personalities begin to realize that the final quest of eternity is the endless exploration of infinitythe never-ending voyage of discovery into the absoluteness of the First Source and Center. Sooner or later we all become aware that all creature growth is proportional to Creation identification We arrive at the understanding that living the will of Creation is the eternal passport to the endless possibility of infinity itself. Mortals will sometime realize that…

Gaza Development Authority: A New Deal Model for the Middle East
Rene Wadlow*
It is difficult to predict the political future of Gaza both in terms of relations between Hamas and Fatah as well as the future relations with Israel and Egypt. What is certain is the Israel-Gaza conflict and the long embargos have crippled and in some cases destroyed the manufacturing and agricultural sectors of the Gaza Strip where some one and a half million people depend on…

Britain joins Ahmadinejad walkout
Given that the underlying ethos of the UN General Assembly and Security Council is to provide a forum for the exchange of views however contentious or uncomfortable, reflecting Sir Winston Churchill's adage of "Jaw Jaw not War War", doesn't the walkout by US and UK delegations at the General Assembly during the speech by…

Self-acceptance is inherent in all animals and can be best understood by observing nature. At Puerto Madryn in Argentina, for example, dozens of right whales come to breed in the calm waters surrounding the Valdes Peninsula. It is amazing to get close to such enormous creatures. They are the biggest animals in the world and surely among the most powerful, yet all they do is radiate love. It’s incredible. It’s all you can feel. They are pure peace, pure love, and yet they are so big. They look…

Inherit the world from our parents to our children "The earth has reached a crucial juncture in its history. The end of a cycle of great approaches. The man has inhabited the planet wild. We have created a society that gradually absorbed in its modernity, has lost the essence of your being and become less human. It is time to rethink. In encontrat some answers to the…

Recently, on the Travel Channel TV, on Anthony Bourdain's travel show I saw a brief spot on the Plain of Jars in Laos. This ancient site is littered with jars, some as large as five men holding hands in a circle. No one knows how these jars were made or who made them. Some remains have been found inside a few of the jars, but overall the jars were all empty. Ancient legends say that the jars were vessels which held wine for the local giants. Other theories state that the jars were placed on a…

Where Are You Coming From?
by Neale Donald Walsch @ cwg.org
LETTING GO OF FEAR - When I was living as a Street Person, under the open sky and in the weather, I came to deeply understand, experientially, the nature of fear. I also learned how to overcome it. And today I fear very little. This leads to an interesting question: What came first, my loss of fear or the Good Life that I am enjoying? Did the Good Life produce my loss of fear, or did it my loss of fear produce the…

Overcoming Adversity
by Amrit Hallan
Do you ever think that there is no end to the problems you face? Do you feel that with each step forward, adverse circumstances pull you two steps back? If so, then welcome to the majority. Most people feel the same way.
A wise person rightly said that pain is inevitable but suffering is optional. You have to decide how much suffering your pain is going to inflict upon yourself and those around you.
Here are a few ways…

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no…

Trust Obama to bring about peace
Never let politics make you weak
He put his Presidency on the line
He is talking peace just in time
Reaching out to friends and foes
Not letting history stop when we must go
Ending wars won't ever be easy
Our promisses have left us quezee
We must get out safely and in time
Protecting civil liberty as in kind
Stop killing our boys in empty wars
As our debt chokes us and soars
Screem to you congressmen…

It seems easy to love God, until you realize that in loving God, you must love everything, including the neighbors. The neighbors may irritate and upset you, and that irritation closes the door to your own inner paradise.
When you love both your neighbor and your irritation, that door opens once again.

True self esteem
by Gina Lake
The issue of self-esteem is complicated by the fact that there are actually two types of self-esteem: That which comes from the ego and that which comes from Essence, or the true Self. The ego bases its self-esteem on looking good in other people’s eyes, so it tries to acquire the things—power, beauty, money, success, comforts—that do this and, therefore, enable it to feel good about itself.
The trouble with this is that life may…

In June 2009, a group of people came together for a Gathering, an experience which was so profound that we are continuing to organize them across the country. We're excited to announce the next Gathering in Mentone, Alabama, the weekend of October 16-18.
The focus of the October Gathering will be on conversation...conscious conversation...as we engage in sharing our life philosophies, asking questions of and learning from others, and collectively discussing our visions--all with the…

What Love Is
....We have many ideas about love. The most profound thought we have about love, which is propagated in novels, movies, and billboards, is the idea that love exists between two people who are utterly compatible, usually young and pretty, and who for some odd reason have a chemical attraction toward each other-none of which can last. Most people find out during the course of their lifetime that this is a myth, that it doesn't work that way. Most people then think it's their own…

The leader seeks a majority
the elder stands for everyone.
The leader sees trouble and tries to stop it
the elder sees the troublemaker as a possible teacher.
The leader strives to be honest
the elder sees the truth in everything.
The democratic leader supports democracy
the elder does this too but also listens to dictators and ghosts.
Leaders try to be better at their jobs
elders try to get others to become…
