'America's Visionary ChangeMakers' - Photography Project- Please Vote by Friday, April 3rd !

Hello Peaceful people,

My name is Carey and I am a photographer based in NYC. I'm working on a personal project about inspiring agents of change across America called 'America's Visionary Changemakers'. I plan to expand the project outside of America as well.

Please Vote for my 'dream assignment' idea by April 3rd !

http://www.nameyourdreamassignment.com/the-ideas/careykirkella/amer...

I am currently participating in a contest where a photographer within the top 100 list with the most votes from the public will win $50,000 to do her idea of a 'dream assignment'.

'American Visionary Changemakers'

We live in an age of change. My dream assignment is to photograph Americans who are innovative in making a positive impact on our world...and the images will help inspire others to "be the change they wish to see in the world". -Gandhi.

Everyone around the world can benefit from visual proof that there are people all across America who are committed to having a positive influence and creating a real impact on our world.

There is an incredible woman who grew up in the Bronx in New York City, who is now a leader of a movement creating 'green collar jobs'. Her website says "the future has always been Made In America", www.majoracartergroup.com

There is a 14 yr old boy in Ventura, California who founded Kids vs Global Warming, a non profit organization made up of a group of kids that educate other kids about the science of global warming and empower them to take action. On the website, www.kids-vs-global-warming.com, it says "...we’re more than just 'the future'. We’re here now. We are the present, and our voices do make a difference."

If everyone permitted themselves to be a pioneering changemaker, using their own talents and skills and ideas, how long would it take to improve the quality of lives we are creating for ourselves throughout the world?

A shift in our global collective consciousness is necessary for peace and prosperity for everyone. This photography project can be a powerful tool in steering our course toward hope. These will be the stories of Americans who are not sitting idly by worrying and watching and waiting to see what someone else will do about the countless problems that are standing in our way of peace. These people are being the change.

I believe that just as hopeless negativity may be an epidemic, positive hope is just as powerfully infectious.

I chose to dedicate myself to photography when I was eleven years old, and I'm now thirty-one and more passionate and committed to it than ever. I believe that life is about what you give to this world. An opportunity to use my talents and skills as a photographer and an artist to make an impact and encourage hope and inspiration in others would be a dream come true.

Please vote and help me spread the word. Let's be the change!

I Love it! My vote is for you!
I have been envisioning a similar project. I would love to merge it with the vision/mission of Humanity Unites Brilliance, or HUB. I respectfully invite you to learn more about HUB. It may be an additional way to fund your project. You could also photograph various HUB members in their personal and collective expression of "Being The Change". Let's bring all of these Grassroots Movements together in One HUB!
